Soybean Comment
Soybeans posted double digit gains today, but November failed at resistance at yesterdays high of $8.30. Overall fundamentals are basically unchanged with weather still a factor. Technically, yesterdays plunge fell through several layers of support and brings the old bear flag objective at $7.76 back into play.

Grain Comment
December wheat ended up a penny after trading lower most of the day. Positive export news and continued world production problems are limiting losses, despite the fact that the charts look technically weak. Fund liquidation of long positions could cause prices to decline in a hurry just like we have seen in corn and beans this week.

| Dec '08 | up | 53 | at | 6650 |
This week's LDP rate for cotton is | .55 cents |
| The estimate for next week is | 3.19 cents |
Cotton Comment Cotton traded in a narrow range and ended a bit higher after limit declines yesterday. The selloff was closely related to the sharp decline in stocks. Index funds got interested in cotton and helped boost the market earlier this year, now they are having to bail out to meet financial obligations in other sectors. The next support is near 56 cents. If that fails the next downside objective for lead October is 54 cents.

Rice Comment Rice also recovered some of yesterdays big losses, following the lead of soybeans. However, technical damage that was done yesterday was not undone today. November futures broke trendline support and now have support at $10.50.

Cattle Comment
Cattle futures were also higher, with October closing the gap left yesterday. Stronger stock prices and the Feds move to lower interest rates were supportive. Ideas that this afternoons cattle on feed report will be bullish were also a factor.
Hogs Peoria: were $2 lower at 44.5 to 45

Hogs Comment
Hog futures ended a bit higher on indications the market was oversold and support from stronger U.S. stocks. Strength in wholesale pork prices limited cash weakness, but had little effect on futures. October looks to be headed for a retest of the July low of $63.47 ½.

Delmarva Broilers U.S. Grade AMajority prices were unchanged in the West, but higher in the Central and Eastern region when compared to a week earlier. The undertone remains firm as hot humid weather continues to affect both live supplies and weights. Generally, availability of heavier sizes were short, lighter weights were reported as short to occassionally adequate. In production areas, live supplies were mostly moderate. Weights were desirable to light.
